Southern Gaming Summit, BingoWorld offer unprecedented value

BILOXI, Miss. (March 18, 2010) — For the first time, two of the largest conferences in the gaming industry will come together to provide the best educational and networking opportunities that the industry has to offer. The Southern Gaming Summit, now in its 17th year, will be held May 5-6, 2010, in its traditional location at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center in Biloxi. Co-locating with this time-honored event is BingoWorld, the world’s largest dedicated bingo conference and trade show now in its 14th year.

The two events will offer a combined trade show which is 30 percent larger than the show floor at last year’s Southern Gaming Summit. There are two complete conference programs as both the Summit and BingoWorld maintain their tradition of excellence with topical conference sessions and workshops featuring presentations by dozens of industry experts. Anyone who registers for the conference can choose the sessions in either program which are of the most interest.

“Having both conference programs together and a combined trade show provides attendees with unprecedented value,” said Beverly Martin, executive director of the Mississippi Casino Operators Association, which is co-producer of the Summit along with BNP Media Gaming Group. “With one common registration and access to two complete programs, we will have something for everyone.”

The Southern Gaming Summit conference program includes sessions on various games and operations, marketing (including the latest in social media applications), tribal gaming and finance, along with special sessions on consumer travel trends and gaming in the Caribbean. Also featured is an Executive Roundtable, where top-level gaming executives will candidly discuss the latest issues and concerns in the gaming industry.

The BingoWorld conference program includes sessions in three tracks, focusing on technology, promotions and “nuts and bolts.” Two popular workshops are also part of the BingoWorld program, Bingo University and Sellin’ Paper and Callin’ Balls. The former is a hands-on workshop on various marketing topics, while Sellin’ Paper is a motivational customer service workshop led by cult favorite Steve Browne, president of Raving Service.

Attendees will also benefit from great networking opportunities including the Taste of the Casinos – Ignite Your Senses, an exciting new version of the Summit’s most anticipated event. This year, it will include incredible entertainers, amazing costumes and unparalleled performances that will leave everyone breathless.

In all, the Summit’s unique mix of education, networking and southern hospitality make it a necessary event for anyone doing business in or interested in developing business in the region. With this dynamic audience, it’s no wonder that vendors are reaching out with exhibit booths, sponsorships and advertising opportunities; contact Lesley Grashow at grashowl@bnpmedia.com for more information.
